Cable inlets type WMg
Description
Application:
Cable inlets type WMg are intended for insertion into the interior of flameproof electrical equipment of groups I and II, cables and wires with circular cross-section. Depending on the execution of the inlets type WMg enable the entry of cables and wires with an outer diameter from 15mm to 23mm.
Inlets WMg are made as a bolted structure with a metal socket, a gland and a mounting bracket. The cable or wire is choked with a rubber gasket.
The inlet is attached to the device by welding its metal body with a tight weld into a properly prepared hole on the housing of the fire-retardant device.
Inlets type WMg can be mounted to the flameproof covers of group I, subgroups: IIA, IIB and IIC devices
Inlets type WMg replace inlets type WPs-14.
Construction:
The main elements of the WMg inlets are:
- body with an internal seat for a sealing ring,
- gland with male thread,
- mounting bracket,
- metal washer,
- elastomer sealing ring.
If no wire or cable is introduced into the inlet, a suitable metal plug is provided for installation.

On 20.06.2012r. cable inlets type WMg received a certificate supplementing the WE-type examination: KDB 06ATEX395U/3
Cable inlets type WMghave a WE type examination certificate:KDB 05ATEX395U from 25.10.2005r.
Central Mining Institute, Notified Body No. 1453 in accordance with Article 9 of Directive 94/9 / EC of 23 March 1994, confirms that the part or subassembly being the subject of this certificate meets the essential health and safety requirements for the design and construction of protective equipment and systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres listed in Annex 2 to Directive 94/9 / EC (Chapter 2 of the Ordinance of the Minister of Economy of December 22, 2005, Journal of Laws No. 263, item 2203)
