Cable inlets type WKp
Description
Application:
Cable entries type WKp are intended for insertion into the interior of the flameproof electrical equipment of groups I and II, cables and wires with a circular cross-section, ensuring the cover is fully flameproof.
Depending on the design of the inlets type Wkp enable the entry of cables and wires with an outer diameter from 17mm to 64mm.
Inlets WKp are made as steel and welded structures.
Inlets type WKp can be mounted to the flameproof covers of group I, subgroups: IIA, IIB and IIC devices.
Inlets type WKp replace the inlets type WKs-3 and WKs-2.

The main elements of the inlets WKp are:
- body with internal seat for sealing ring,
- choke,
- mounting bracket
- metal washer,
- presser,
- elastomer sealing ring.
If no wire or cable is introduced into the inlet, a suitable metal plug is provided for installation. The inlet is attached to the device with two M12 screws.
There is a cylindrical flameproof joint between the inlet body and the flameproof device.
Certificates
On June 20, 2012 WKp cable glands received a certificate supplementing the WE-type examination: KDB 05ATEX148U/4
WKp type cable glands have an WE type examination certificate: KDB 05ATEX148U form 12.05.2005r.
Central Mining Institute, Notified Body No. 1453 in accordance with Article 9 of Directive 94/9 / EC of 23 March 1994, confirms that the part or subassembly being the subject of this certificate meets the essential health and safety requirements for the design and construction of protective equipment and systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres listed in Annex 2 to Directive 94/9 / EC (Chapter 2 of the Ordinance of the Minister of Economy of December 22, 2005, Journal of Laws No. 263, item 2203)
The basic requirements of safety and health protection were implemented by meeting the requirements of the following standards:
