OPIS
On July 28, 2005, the American Goldman Sachs Investment Fund purchased a part of the PIRELLI company, which manufactures cables and wires.
As a result of this transaction, from October 1, 2005, the cable brand PIRELLI existing since 1879 was replaced by a new one called PRYSMIAN Group . The PRYSMIAN Group brand bases its strength on the current strengths developed by the previous owner of factories and research centers, the PIRELLI company.
This means for cables under the PRYSMIAN Group brand:
- Using over 130 years of tradition and know-how of cable production,
- Excellent product quality and service,
- Product innovation,
- Cable production by highly qualified technical and managerial staff,
- Transferring the certificates and approvals previously obtained by PIRELLI to a new brand.

Application:
PROTOLON (SB) NTSCGEWOEU sheathed cables are intended for powering machines and devices in opencast and borehole mining plants, wherever extreme mechanical loads occur. Especially recommended as a cable trailed behind a movable receiver, e.g. behind an electric excavator. These cables are used in opencast mining, in quarries, in the construction of tunnels, etc.

The cables are adapted to work in conditions of increased exposure to water and mechanical stress. These cables are used to power floating mining equipment, floating docks, submersible pumps, etc. They are adjusted to work in immersion in clean and dirty water, up to a depth of 500 m.
