Application:
Explosion-proof battery batteries of reinforced construction “e” type & nbsp; SBS-4W & nbsp; with classic cells or & nbsp; SBS-4WŻ & nbsp; with gel cells are used as an energy source for electric locomotives type ELA-44 / * and Lea BM-12.
During electric braking with a locomotive, an explosion-proof battery battery of reinforced construction “e” type SBS-4W or SBS-4WŻ acts as an electric energy receiver.
Explosion-proof type rechargeable batteries SBS-4W and SBS-4WŻ are made as a welded structure, ensuring ventilation of the interior. Ventilation (airing) of the box is carried out thanks to the ventilation openings in the bottom of the battery chambers and the special construction of the covers, additionally, ventilation is facilitated by ventilation and spacers placed between the walls of the chambers and the cells.

Explosion-proof rechargeable batteries of reinforced “e” type construction SBS-4W and SBS-4WŻ have the WE-type examination certificate: KDB 06ATEX314X / 2 of November 25, 2015. carried out by the Central Mining Institute Certification Unit “Barbara” Experimental Mine as a supplement to the EC type examination certificate KDB 06ATEX314X of 28.12.2006.
Central Mining Institute, Notified Body No. 1453 in accordance with Article 9 of Directive 94/9 / EC of 23 March 1994, confirms that the part or subassembly being the subject of this certificate meets the essential health and safety requirements for the design and construction of protective equipment and systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres listed in Annex 2 to Directive 94/9 / EC (Chapter 2 of the Ordinance of the Minister of Economy of December 22, 2005, Journal of Laws No. 263, item 2203)
